Melisa Smith, Library Media
Mrs.Smith is a lifelong resident of Rock Hill. She graduated from Winthrop Uninversity with a B.S. in Elementary Education and has M.Ed. degrees from USC (Eartly Childhood Education) and West Alabama (Library Informational Science). Mrs. Smith also completed coursework and received an endorsement for gifted and talented education from Converse College and is a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of Middle Child Generalist. Mrs. Smith has taught in Rock Hill Schools for 27 years. For the last ten years, Mrs. Smith has served as the library media specialist at MGES.
Mrs. Smith is married to Brian Smith who is a teacher at the Applied Technology Center. They have one daughter named Cathryn who is a student at NHS. When Mrs. Smith isn't teaching, she loves to read mystery books, write, travel, cheer for the Gamecocks, and spend time with family and friends. One of her main goals is to travel all 50 states.
