Exceptional Student Education
Welcome to the Exceptional Student Education web site for the Rock Hill Schools. Currently, there are over 2,500 students with special needs enrolled in various programs for students with disabilities throughout the district. Over 220 teachers, therapists, employment specialists, and assistants are employed to meet the unique, individualized needs of students who have been found eligible for specialized instructon and services. Instruction is provided through a variety of models including consultative, collaborative and inclusive, as well as pull-out resource services and specialized services and programs.
In addition to our instructional staff, there are a variety of related services provided throughout the school district. These include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, and psychoeducational evaluations and consultations.
