Title I
Rock Hill Schools received $3,784,461.00 in Title I funding during the 2011-2012 school year. We currently serve eight schools with Title I funds: Belleview Elementary, Children’s Attention Home Charter School, Ebenezer Elementary, Finley Road Elementary, Independence Elementary, Northside Elementary School of the Arts, Oakdale Elementary, and Rosewood Elementary. District Set-Asides provided Title I Parent Teacher Specialists, Literacy Specialists and Math Coaches.
Neglected and Delinquent/Title I
The Children’s Attention Home Charter School received $34,807.00 in Neglected and Delinquent funding during 2011-2012. The Children's Attention Home's Charter School is for students in kindergarten through 8th grade. Based on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, the school focuses on meeting the basic needs of the children while providing a solid, appropriate, individualized academic program. Utilizing classrooms with low teacher to student ratios, children are able to spend significant individual or small group time with the teacher. Considerable emphasis is placed on teaching the children the appropriate behavioral skills needed for them to prosper as students.
New Hope Carolinas (NHC) is a fully accredited private school under SACS. New Hope received $117,078.00 in Title I N & D Funds for the 2011-2012 school year. They have a student population of around 140 students ranging in age from 12 to 21. NHC can serve grades fifth through post-graduate. All students enrolled in school at NHC have been placed here by the Department of Social Services, Department of Juvenile Justice, private referrals from case management agencies, and court ordered through Family Court. All of NHC's students are separated by gender for school and the average class size is 8 to 10 students. NHC is a year round school with twelve week semesters divided by one week Teacher Work Weeks. NHC provides behavioral health care services to emotionally disturbed children and adolescents who have high-risk behavioral disorders and sexual aggression. The students at NHC have significant impairment in their cognitive, behavioral, emotional, and social functioning. The mission of the education department of NHC is to provide a highly structured learning environment that focuses on social, personal, and academic development. NHC's goal is to provide smooth transition as students return to the community.
Title III
Rock Hill Schools received $99,104.47 in Title III funding during the 2011-2012 school year. Rock Hill Schools’ English to Speakers of Other Language program serves over eight hundred students from thirty three countries and twenty seven different languages.

We have fourteen certified English to Speakers of Other Languages teachers serving our schools. In addition, a full-time ESOL Coach is available to serve our schools and staff.
Title VII
Rock Hill Schools received $20,137.00 in Title VII funding through the Office of Indian Education. Funds are used to provide tutoring services to Indian students. There are currently over two hundred and fifty students identified as Indian in the district.
